ClearDeal Trading System

cleardeal_small.jpgClearDeal is designed for financial institutions that plan to offer their clients electronic trading facilities using industry standard protocols, thus minimising the length of time taken to on-board customers.

ClearDeal, currently supporting a full range of FX instrument types, has been engineered specifically for organisations that trade over FIX, allowing for rapid on-boarding of customers, resulting in significant cost-savings and reduced time to market.

Unlike vendors who have FIX enabled their legacy solutions, creating bottlenecks as a result of the requirement to transform data for FIX compliance, ClearDeal is a new solution designed with FIX at its core.

ClearDeal is part of a comprehensive FIX solution, encompassing software solutions, expertise and services including selection of the FIX engine, systems integration, testing and on-boarding of customers.

ClearDeal currently supports the FX Spot, FX Forward and FX Swap instrument types. Configurable screens allow for the display of a number of different views which are designed to support the requirements of the traders. These include:

  • Quick FX – allows for the rapid execution of a trade, either in single-click or double-click mode
  • Deal Blotter – a display of both current and historic trade details
  • Prices – a display of currently streamed currency prices

Streaming prices for spot trades ensure that the traders’ currency pairs are available in real-time. This combined with the ability to perform single-click trading ensures the most rapid trade execution process possible. Precise pricing, whereby an additional currency place is displayed, ensures that trading decisions can be taken with the most accurate information possible.

Output of individual trade details can be performed in a number of different ways:

  • Automatic real-time trade detail output on completion of execution
  • Automatic end of day trade detail output
  • Manual output on individual trades, or the entire deal blotter.
ClearDeal has been designed with FIX at the core. No message transformation has to occur, as the system is able to recognise the FIX format directly. ClearDeal has been implemented currently supporting the CameronFIX engine, and is compatible with all current versions of FIX. ClearDeal has been designed and implemented utilising the unique TriAlius design methodology. This employs a modular approach which provides maximum flexibility when it comes to deciding the most appropriate software deployment models. Key modules which form part of this design methodology include:
  • Zero Deployment GUI
  • Client Session Manager
  • FIX Simulation Manager
  • FIX Session Manager
  • FIX Engine

Network connectivity options available include point-to-point, internet, VPN or via a FIX hub.
